It was the telltale pattern
Your small baju Kedah which always looks big on you
The immaculate folds of your kain batik
A small bun put up with rehearsed fingers
Your exasperation for my childish demeanour
The robust perseverance to always pamper
Your skin – wrinkled, on your face, on your hand
I have never seen a black hair on your hair
How wondrously your warmth glows with assuring sanctuary
It was the most trivial pattern
The signatures pattern
My own pattern
Of a beautiful angel
Blessing an always your little clingy girl
